Later that evening another photographer arrived at this spot to find several of the others sitting around talking. After being told of the problems two other cameras had experienced in this spot, he decided to back up and take a picture of the bench, and those people sitting around it. He took 3 shots with no difficulties, but as he attempted to take a forth picture, he found that his camera battery was also dead. We all are aware that cold temperatures play havoc with battery life, and that this WAS a cold night. The oddity comes into this scenario when you consider that the cameras had ALL been checked for battery strength, that they ALL died in the same spot, and that they ALL died at different times of the evening. From the time the first one died to the last was approx 1 ½ hours. After leaving the cemetery that night ALL camera batteries were found to have a charge and be operating properly. The only other oddity was a consensus by most of those present that there is an "odd" feeling when you are in the vicinity of the stone and board bench. One person experienced vertigo and a sense of uneasiness, while another felt fearful. Our conclusion is that nothing we experienced that night should be considered conclusively paranormal. Though we did experience some questionable events, we feel these can be explained logically. |
